Special Purpose Machines

Special Purpose Machines

Special purpose machines are developed for specific workpieces, machining processes, and production targets. Unlike general-purpose machine tools, each system can be configured around the required hole dimensions, machining direction, spindle speed, feed stroke, material, cycle time, and level of automation. This makes special purpose machines particularly suitable for stable, repeatable, and high-volume component production.

HANN KUEN provides drilling, tapping, boring, milling, and facing spindle units, along with servo linear guideway slides, hardened guideway slides, vertical slides, and cross slides for machine integration. These modular units allow machine builders to configure horizontal, vertical, or multi-directional machining layouts according to the workpiece and available installation space.

By selecting the appropriate spindle and feeding mechanism, a special purpose machine can combine multiple processes, reduce unnecessary workpiece repositioning, and support consistent machining performance. HANN KUEN works with customers to evaluate machining methods, installation requirements, spindle interfaces, feed systems, and automation conditions before selecting a suitable spindle-and-slide configuration.
